Four defense and space companies announced rounds last week:
On Wednesday, Gallatin AI raised a $50M Series A, led by 8VC and Silent Ventures. That brings its total to $70M. Gallatin’s AI tool, Navigator, plans how supplies move to units in the field. U.S. military units around the world use it, and this summer it signed a deal with III Armored Corps at Fort Hood. Check out the 23 open roles on their careers page.
Fortastra raised a $30M Series A led by First In. Fortastra builds small spacecraft that move on their own to guard friendly satellites. It was founded in 2025 and has already flown two demo missions. Its careers page lists 13 roles.
Also on Wednesday, Furientis raised a $25M seed led by Benchmark, and won its first OTA with the Pentagon. It builds a 100-mile interceptor from car-grade metal parts, off-the-shelf electronics, and its own solid rocket motors. The goal is a price under $250K and 1,000 interceptors a year from each factory. Its job board lists 18 roles in Los Angeles.
On Thursday, Kapta Space raised a $24M Series A led by Washington Harbour Partners and Bison Ventures. The Seattle company builds low-cost satellite radar to track moving targets on land, at sea, and in the air. Its job board lists 12 roles.
