Three American defense companies raised money last week, taking in $51.1M.
On Tuesday, Easy Aerial announced a $20M Series B led by Insight Partners, with Entrée Capital and private US investors. The Brooklyn company builds drone-in-a-box systems; a UAS that lives in a weatherproof enclosure and launches itself. Their careers page lists 11 open roles: eight in New York City and three in Belgrade.
Aslan Protects came out of stealth with a $20.8M announcement, co-led by Khosla Ventures and XYZ. Aslan builds AI agents that pose as people inside criminal forums and dark web markets, collecting evidence for the FBI and intelligence agencies. They have 6 open roles and are planning to double their headcount (from 10) by the end of October.
On Wednesday, Critical Materials Group raised a $10.3M seed led by Overmatch Ventures, with Victory Six Advisors and Fulcrum Ventures. CMG builds modular, automation-ready plants for making energetics — the propellants and explosives that go inside everything else. No careers page is live yet.
