This week the money kept pouring in, with significant amounts heading to factories.
Castelion closed a $1B Series C on Thursday — $800M in equity plus a $250M credit facility — at a $13B valuation, co-led by Andreessen Horowitz, Carlyle, and JPMorganChase. The company has booked more than $500M in military contracts since 2022, and now it has to build the Blackbeard missile in quantity. Its careers page is carrying roughly 200 openings.
The same day, Muon Space raised a $250M Series C at a $1.5B valuation, led by Eclipse with Google and Salesforce in the round. Muon put ten roles on the board this week alone — mechanical, FPGA, onboard compute, and an engineering manager for mission mechanical. Their jobs board has over 100 active listings.
A day later, Starcloud added $250M at a $2.3B valuation to put data centers in orbit, with Nvidia joining the round. Thirteen open roles, all engineering, nearly all in Redmond, WA. Satellite work, with AI budgets!
